Someone has a big birthday today...and it's NOT Tallulah Mae (but she does look festive in her party hat!).

 Ah, the allure of um, "interesting" plaster "statues." We saw people buying, too (we'd stopped to use the bathroom).

...and homemade menudo (is there any other kind?) made daily--so if you have a hangover seven days a week, you're covered!

 It's George's Wonderful World of Cakes! (Actually, apparently it isn't so happy--according to Yelp, it has closed.)

 But the signs live on, and they are fab!

Muffler Man Goodness

 A Muffler Man! It's the only one in this area, and I finally got to see it. We've seen quite a few others in the L.A. area, including the fabulous one-and-only Chicken Boy.
