Tallulah-Palooza Friday

Tallulah Mae believes that her invitation to the royal wedding festivities surely went missing: after all, she is part corgi! "Won't someone at least give me some bangers and mash?" she wonders.

Royally Ready

Scones! We'll be getting up to watch Wills and Kate tie the knot, and we needed to have something to have with our tea.
Tallulah too!

Got Beer?

Actually, not at the moment, alas...but I did have THIS beer last week, and it was DELISH! "That is all..." (who knows what movie that's a quote from?).

Easter Lovelies

We need Smell-o-Vision here so that you can all enjoy the lovely fragrance of these hyacinths. They were part of my Easter basket from my sweet B.
Ahhhh...

Til-Two Club

I'd love to see the inside of the Til-Two Club, wouldn't you? Wonder what kind of a jukebox they have?

This Little Bunny Says...

"Happy Easter, y'all!"
(The "B." is for my little baby great-niece [grand-niece?], Brooklyn.)

Tallulah-Palooza Friday

Tallulah Mae wishes you a very happy Easter (those of you who celebrate it).
"Pbbbtthlll..." (Please note the little pink tongue sticking out; she really did not want to pose for me that day~).

Still-Life with Thistle and Bug

Although the bug is blurry here, you can see its lovely stripes and red head.

Icelandic Beauties

Icelandic poppies...they look like crepe paper. So pretty...

Peachy Keen

A glorious specimen of a peach tree in full flower...yay, spring!

First Roses

Yay, the first roses of the season...the one at the bottom has the most heavenly scent! I don't know how anyone can leave a rose on the bush--I HAVE to cut them and bring them in.

Tallulah-Palooza Friday

Sometimes, a girl's just gotta roll, you know? (She actually does this ALL the time...)

Wow, I just looked at this...her head looks like a Picasso painting! It makes more sense if you realize that her mouth is wide open (at upper right on her head; below that is her nose). Cubist Tallulah Mae!

Cloud Divide

How odd is this? That dividing line is really there (not car window or Photoshop), some sort of marine layer. Love the cloud at upper left: looks a bit like a pair of lips, yes?

Funny Sad Weird

Funny: this little vignette was in my living room, deposited there after an estate sale last weekend.
Sad: Tallulah and I found this little dead hummingbird on our walk. It just looked like it had laid down on the sidewalk and died. {Sniff sniff.} I didn't know what to do for it, so I just stroked it and said a few words like "Rest in peace, little beauty."
Weird: this succulent cutting, somehow, has managed to bloom even though it's decapitated and lying there with no water or soil.
Also weird: the strange worm/larva thingy curled up along the right edge.

A Health

Sign atop a building (it's actually "Basic Health," which is where my goddess of a masseuse has her practice). But I kind of like this: "A Health."

Tallulah-Palooza Friday

I can't get enough of this dog when she yawns... which she happens to do quite a lot, by the way.

I notice that in these pix her head looks remarkably pointy! It isn't, really...maybe OUR heads look pointy when WE yawn? Hmmm...

Lovely Linens on Laundry Line

Seeing pretty vintage linens drying on the clothesline makes me smile...
What's on your clothesline?

Bird, Tree, Sky

This especially pleases me due to the twisted shapes of the branches. Plus, you know, it's a bird (bird geek!). And not just any bird, but a goldfinch, which I truly adore.

Getting My Daily Vegetable Requirement...

Delish.

Bakesale for Japan a Rousing Success!

Here are some of my contributions (chocolate-covered ginger) for the Bakesale for Japan, held on Saturday at various locations.
This is the booth (super cute!). In San Diego alone, more than $2,000 was raised--yay! In San Francisco they raised a BUNCH of money...Every little bit helps: please keep giving to the charity of your choice if you 're able...

Tallulah-Palooza Friday

Oh, pardon me, madam--I neglected to notice the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door...
